15 Aug 2019 - 31 Aug 2019
Niedzica, Poland Jurgów, Poland Frydman, Poland

The Baroque Ancient Music Festival in the Spiš is a cultural initiative initiated in 2012 and aimed at promoting the magnificent Baroque monuments located in the Polish Spiš region. The decor of the churches in Niedzica, Łapsze Niżne, Łapsze Wyżne, Kacwin, Frydman, Krempach, Trybsz, Nowa Biala and Jurgów are baroque pearls, but still little known. In these interiors are held concerts of baroque music in the performances of artists specializing in the performance of early music on copies of instruments from the era and representing a high professional level.
The Baroque Festival in the Spiš region is one of the most interesting music events that take place in the Małopolska region. An ambitious program, premieres prepared especially for the Festival, promotion of Polish culture, cooperation with musicologists in order to actively search for baroque works not yet discovered or archived, preparing special events, top performers, promotion of architectural monuments, mini lectures during every concert - this is the face of the Barok festival in Spis.
