The Dosečný venec festival will weave together music, literature, workshops or discussions and thus carry on the tradition of Cultural Harvests. They, as well as the festival, are created under the banner of the MSŠZ.

Masaryk Secondary School of Agriculture is and has always been a modern institution that strives

to show that the school is constantly developing, adapting to interactive teaching and a professional teaching portfolio tries to convey interesting cultural awareness to its students and the public. The very popular Advent on the Farmer was created on a similar platform. This already-established event is now being added to the Cultural Harvest.

The activities of the Cultural Harvesters to date have been filled with several exhibitions and the openings associated with them. Another important part was the already mentioned musical afternoon.

We would like to follow up this event with a two-day Cultural Harvest Festival. It would be a multi-genre festival including music, discussions, workshops, exhibitions and competitions.

We would like to fill both evenings with musical production. Dramaturgy includes both local and mainstream productions. The connection of the regional alternative, the mainstream, but also the connection of generations - this is the basic leitmotif of our intended event.

Another important point of the program will be discussions with interesting and inspiring personalities. Our goal is to open the minds and hearts of our listeners. Through interviews, workshops or debates, we want to approach topics from various fields.

An integral part of the MSŠZ is also the large area of the estate. It cannot be missing in our program - here we would like to offer an interesting program for children of all ages (and not only children). Our goal is to bring an alternative to the classic program and bring a festival for whole generations, who will be able to spend time together.

The festival will also include the announcement of the poetry competition Snové Listy in honor of David Stypka. We plan to start this non-traditional competition in January 2023. A poetry competition for high school students in Opava will be created under the name of this important personality of our region. In our experience, many students are dedicated to writing poetry and other literature, but they do not have enough support. It should be this competition, where inspiring personalities from this area would decide on the best work.

Cultural harvests are specific to the environment where they arise. The project is shaped in accordance with the long-term goal of the Masaryk Secondary School of Agriculture, namely its promotion as a successful modern institution. At the same time, it is aimed at students' self-realization. Of course, reaching the general public is key. There are several benefits of this event. Students will experience what the process of creating a cultural event involves, they will have the opportunity to prepare a press kit, come up with a promotion strategy and solve current problems that arise around such a project. But the main thing for us is the promotion of the school and its portfolio. Those interested will thus be able to visit the school and experience it from a different side than the educational one. In addition, the school presents itself as an experienced organizer of cultural events (just like Advent, which was and is an increasingly popular tradition). This creates another platform for the expansion of cultural activities in Opava.

Since the project is being prepared by a team composed of educators, students and people from the field of culture, the program is inherently very varied.
