A prestigious, open and live literary event, engaging new reading audiences and raising the interest in contemporary literature, the CapitaLiterature platform of the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation is carried out every year in Sofia in the end of May – beginning of June. Upon the successful implementation of the 2009 pilot edition and the 2011 Bulgarian visit of Orhan Pamuk, CapitaLiterature has formed itself as a sustainable project, characterized as an international literary festival, devoted to the cause of enriching the cultural life of Sofia, the consumption of literature and the opportunities for development of young Bulgarian writers.
