Every year the celebration of cultures is organized in parts of the old city of Kavala-Greece. The narrow alleys with traditional houses and stores fill with dance, music and children’s voices. Being a multicultural city since the dawn of its history, Kavala, is the ideal representative of multiculturalism.

On the days the festival takes place, the visitor can attend a series of events – ranging from big international artists’ concerts at the city’s Fortress, folklore dances from the participating countries at Mohammed Ali’s open air theatre, ethnic cuisine at the old town’s main road, to kid’s games and workshops at the city’s lighthouse, and more - at various beautiful spots of the old town.
