Criatech / digital creativity and technology

Criatech promotes artistic creation by combining digital creativity and technology in public and heritage spaces.

Criatech debuted in 2017 and has since become an annual event in Aveiro taking place every October. Within seven days the festival contributes to consolidate Aveiro as a territory of excellence in the field of technology, establishing links to industry, scientific knowledge, the university and the creative community of Aveiro. In 2019 Criatech has started a process of change by becoming a platform that generates various actions throughout the year while keeping the festival as its anchor moment.

Criatech offers an experience in which bridges between art, technology and creativity are built by diverse, experimental and quality programming. The festival engages with the general public, families, visitors of the city on their tourists routs as well as specialised audience. The festival Criatech is part of the programme of the Aveiro TECH WEEK - a week dedicated to technology and culture - together with the Prisma / Art Light Tech and TechDays Aveiro.
