Culturecrash - Norwegian International Culture Festival
The KULTURKRÆSJ street festival started in 2015 as Norwegian International Culture Festival. We started with indoor events at RUKLA and Varden Grendehus with a hundred participants. In 2017 we rebranded the festival to Kulturkræsj and established Gatefestivalen KULTURKRÆSJ in Kongensgate in Sandefjord. In 2023, we had about 1,600 visitors to the Street Festival, in addition we had our own cultural workshop with music, art and experience for nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools in this initiative, around 130 children and young people were involvedthe weekdays before the Street Festival Kulturkræsj. Since 2017, we have built upthe Kulturkræsj brand into a well-known brand in southern Vestfold county, in South East Norway.
The street festival Kulturkræsj has been a joint event since 2017 organized by organization ORE in together with Stella Polaris, Frilynt, Ungdomsklubben Naper'n, Frie Filmere, Cafe Vintage, Sandefjord Res Cross, artists and cultural workers in Sandefjord and volunteers. identity for Sandefjord as a municipality of residence, and we believe this has. The KULTURKRÆSJ street festival will be one alcohol-free event open to families, children and the general public the population of Sandefjord, blending in music, art, food, craft and activities from all of the world as an experience and meeting place. We aim to create a place for common sharing and joy around music and culture from Africa, Asia, Latin-Ameria, Europe and Norway.
