Fantasmagoria
The Fantasmagoria festival takes place in Thessaloniki, Greece, every spring. It is a well established, national annual event, taking place in the Thessaloniki City Hall, under the auspices of the city of Thessaloniki municipality office.
Fantasmagoria constitutes a steadily growing festival dedicated to Fantasy as a whole, though focusing mainly in fiction literature. Fantasmagoria’s framework includes a series of book presentations by writers from all over Greece as well as an award ceremony for the best short fiction story, based on a contest that gets carried out throughout the year.
Furthermore, a number of different events, speeches and activities, all related to arts and fantasy, for adults as well as children, take place during the weekend.
Profits are given to a charitable organization. The festival has national media coverage.
