For the last ten years in the heart of historical Lisbon and during the warm magic nights of July, OPART artistic forces – Portuguese Symphonic Orchestra, São Carlos Opera House Chorus and National Ballet Company – invite local community and foreign public to listen and enjoy an arresting variety of open-air performances of great symphonic and choral repertoire, of the most loved operatic arias and scenes as well as of dance programmes which range from the classic repertoire to the most modern and contemporary choreographic works. Festival ao Largo which takes place just in front of our São Carlos Opera House is an event already taken for granted by ten of thousands of people who participate in the great merrymaking of music!
