Festival International de Folklore de Château Gombert

Our festival is devoted to tradionnal folk dances and music. It's not a competition.
This festival is organized beginning of july every year since 1965 by the folk dance ensemble Roudelet Felibren of Château Gombert, Marseille FRANCE. Nearly everything of that festival is managed by volunteers.

Each year the festival receives 6 or 7 groups from different parts of the world which play live music with traditional instruments. That represent between 250 and 350 artists and volunteers during one week.

Different kinds of animations and shows are planned in the program in order to also involve the people of the public and made them share some moments with the artists : bal, games for children, ...
