The Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival, the first edition of which was held in 2006, combines a weeklong residential literary translation workshop held in collaboration with the Literature Across Frontiers network for literary exchange in Europe and readings in the evenings by the participant writers. The festival offers a vibrant but intimate experience of literature that allows the poets and prose writers the opportunity to engage with each other and with their audiences.
