Festival novomeško poletje aka Novo mesto summer festival is a eclectic international music festival that is happening in Novo mesto, Slovenia, during summer months July and august.In the 2024 edition, we are presenting some great world music acts such as Božo Vrećo & Miroslav Tadić, both internationally recognized artists as they present new collaboration on the upcoming new album from Božo Vrećo, who is a new voice of modern sevdah music style. Also in the upcoming events, we are hosting Chris Eckman, a former leader of the Walkabouts, American alternative band which achieved great commercial success all over the globe.Another internationally recognized world music artist that will appear on the festival is Damir Imamović,Bosnian singer, composer and author, also known as the ambassador of the modern Bosnian sevdah music style.In 2021he won The best of Europe award by the British music magazine Songlines.In total, eight concerts will happen through summer on three different locations in Novo mesto.
