The Pablo Casals Festival, founded in 1950 in Prades by the cellist Pablo Casals, is one of the oldest music festivals in Europe.
Its programmes blend classical, modern and contemporary music which is performed by about 40 international soloists during three weeks
in residence in Prades.
Every summer, more than 40 events: 26 concerts mostly take place in the Abbey of St-Michel de Cuxa, 10 students’ concerts with free
entrance, 4-6 lectures.
