22nd International Festival of Children's Theatres

The Children's Theatre of the Republic of Srpska has organized the International Festival of Children's Theatres in Banjaluka for the previous twenty-one years. More than a hundred professional theater for children from all over the world visited Banjaluka and the Republic of Srpska as a result of the festival's organization. The festival has a competitive nature, and it is judged by an International Jury composed of the most famous theatrical and puppet professionals.Each year in October, around 10,000 people attend the puppet performances in Banja Luka. Annual prizes given out by the Festival include the Grand Prix for Best Overall Performance, the Award for Best Director, the Award for Best Set Design, the Award for Best Music, five equal Awards for acting, and a special Award. Every year, approximately 250 guests from Europe and overseas arrive, and approximately thirty shows, presented indoors or outdoors, are viewed by 10,000 youngsters.
