KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen

10 May 2019 - 26 May 2019
Hanover, Germany

The KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen is an outstanding festival with music-theatre, performances, concerts and installations. More than 20 productions will be presented each year in the Herrenhausen Gardens and the city of Hanover. Its festival director, Ingo Metzmacher, has put together a unique programme with artistic highlights that overcome boundaries and connect artists and audience.

The central festival venues – the Galerie and Orangerie, the Großer Garten, the Arne-Jacobsen-Foyer and for the first time the Berggarten – are situated within the magnificent setting of the Herrenhausen Gardens. Other venues outside the gardens take the festival into the heart of the city. In the Spiegelzelt, the lively centre of the KunstFestSpiele, festival participants and audience can meet in a relaxed atmosphere.

For the second time this year’s festival will feature a KunstFestSpiele Campus, taking place around the central Spiegelzelt, to which students and lecturers from five universities in Lower Saxony have been invited.
