Our endeavor is a joint initiative by French and Ukrainian partners, led by La Manufacture in Avignon, beginning just a few weeks after February 24, 2022. Our goal was to deploy a showcasing platform for Ukrainian art in Avignon as early as July 2022, with a vision for the future and reconstruction. To align with this future vision, we aimed to dedicate this tool to the young generation of Ukrainian artists and create a permanent bridge between the marketplace of Avignon and Ukraine. The idea was not only to support artists but also to develop expertise for Ukrainian public and private production bodies, enabling them to understand and efficiently propose projects in Avignon and more broadly in Western EU.
