Manlleu Film Festival

11 Jul 2019 - 14 Jul 2019
Manlleu, Spain

Manlleu Film Festival is an outdoor film festival that takes place in the city of Manlleu, one hour away from Barcelona. Located in the heart of Catalonia, the festival was founded in 2003 to bring to the town the best national and international independent short films of the moment.

With this spirit, over the last 16 years, more than 12,000 directors and producers have been sending their works, and we have screened around 600 short films from around the world. Currently, with an audience of more than 600 spectators per year, the Manlleu Film Festival is a consolidated film festival in Catalonia.

Supporting the cinema produced in Catalonia is essential. This is why Manlleu Film Festival has a National Competition for short films produced or co-produced in Catalonia, or directed by Catalan directors. We aim to break with the everyday-more-diffuse borders between cinematographic genres. For this reason, the festival focuses on films that explore the limits of fiction, non-fiction, animation and experimental cinema.
