Martinska Punk Festival
The festival programme strongly promotes the values of the independent cultural scene, DIY values and activism, especially contemporary independent music production and artists engaged in it.The value of the festival is in its quality of the program during the three days, which confirms the framework of independent culture, and becomes an event that gathers audiences of all generations, and who have the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of artistic, music programs. The first such festival ''Martinska fešta'' lasted for 15 years – from 2000 to 2015, and was organized among others by the current employees of Pozitivan ritam. It was recognized by the audience who came to the festival from all over Croatia, as well as from abroad (Belgium, France, Italy). After 2015, the organization was taken over by members of the NGO Association Liješnjaci and called the event Kanal Fest and was of a smaller scale. As Liješnjaci paused the organization of the festival during the pandemic, and in 2022 they made the last such event, the need to establish cooperation between two organizing teams and to create a new festival – Martinska Punk Festival was demonstrated.
The festival presents active regional music groups that have new releases and are active participants in the scene, as well as attractive music bands from abroad that can attract audiences from all over Croatia and the wider region.
