Prescot Festival of Music & the Arts

21 Jun 2019 - 30 Jun 2019
Prescot, United Kingdom

Under the banner of Arts in Prescot, the Prescot Festival organises and promotes a year-round programme of arts, entertainment, cultural and heritage events around the historic Lancashire town of Prescot, Merseyside. It is a community led not-for-profit organisation with a written constitution, and a broad base of approximately 20 volunteers known as the Friends of the Festival. It is funded entirely through donations.

The highlight of its year-round programme is the 10-day Prescot Festival of Music and the Arts which starts on the third Friday of June. The first Prescot Festival was a four day festival, held in June 2005. The current ten day format was premiered in 2007 and has been the arrangement ever since. The 2019 Festival is the 15th Annual Prescot Festival.

The aims of the Festival are to be accessible by welcoming everyone, to be affordable by making many of the events free, and to be all-encompassing, embracing all types of art and music.
