Quartieri di Vita. Life infected with Social Theatre!
Quartieri di Vita is an educational festival of social theatre organized by the Fondazione Campania dei Festival - recognised among the special projects of MIC – and it supports the theatrical companies engaged in risk areas in the expenses of workshops and following the set-up of the showings.
Every year, in December, theatre, dance, music, and, art workshops explore individual, cultural and racial boundaries in the name of integration, sharing, and social inclusion. The outcomes of the different training and production workshops turn into a rehearsal performance open to the audiences.
Vulnerable teenagers, psychiatric patients, inmates in juvenile jails, blind children, and political refugees are just some of the lively characters with which Quartieri di vita has built a dialogue.
From 2021 the project becomes international: Quartieri di Vita. Life infected with Social Theatre!, organized in partnership with EUNIC, gives the chance to 11 theatre groups working in fragile social contexts to meet internationally renowned directors from different European countries.
