Rampenlichter 2023

Rampenlichter - the dance and theatre festival for children and youth - has developed from a small five-day festival with four productions to one of the most important festivals for dance and theatre by children and young people in Germany and increasingly in an international context. Rampenlichter is a platform for artistic exchange and a laboratory for artistic ideas, visions and utopias of young people aged 6-27 years. Rampenlichter is a platform for young performing arts and a forum for artistic exchange between children and young people. The 14-days long festival showcases productions which are co-produced with children and young people and in whose development they are significantly involved. Thus young stage artists set new impulses for dance and theatre with their ideas! In addition to its 40 evening and afternoon shows, the festival offers a variety of workshops by professionals and young artists for children and young people. An extensive programme for school classes, performance and artist talks and a residency programme for young artists round up the artistic exchange formats with kids and young stage artists.
