Reykjavík Fringe Festival 1
Reykjavík Fringe Festival is a celebration of all art forms, new and old artists on the fringe. Local and international artists perform in the centre of Reykjavík, all within walking distance at the height of summer under the midnight sun. The festival presents a variety of theatre, dance, circus, comedy, poetry, drag, burlesque, children's shows, magic, new media and more.
Reykjavík Fringe Festival collaborates with other Fringe festivals in the Nordic countries as a part of the Nordic Fringe Network and has been running yearly since 2018.
Due to uncertainties regarding venues, opening times and restrictions on gatherings because of the pandemic this year, the programme will only be released a week or two before the start date. The focus will be on live shows happening on stages and in bars. There will also be a scattering of outdoor performances and a couple of shows will be accessible online.
