Sea Sound Festival (Seasplash festival - soundsystem edition)

18 Jul 2024 - 21 Jul 2024
Šibenik, Croatia

Sea Sound Festival is conceived as a direct continuation of the Seasplash Festival, which with its twenty-first edition in 2023 completed an exceptionally high-quality cycle in the development of independent culture and music independent production, but also in the development of artists who deal with it.

Since its inception, Seasplash Festival has been stimulating for many young and non-established artists who, thanks to their quality performances at the festival, have progressed and are today renowned musicians and artists.

Based on the long-term development of this festival, there was a need to change and modernize the concept of spatial organization and presentation of music programs to the audience, and based on these ideas, the Sea Sound Festival was created. The new concept gives greater emphasis on promoting soundsystem culture and collectives and gives them an independent space for presenting sound production.

Direct addition to the continuous activities of the Seasplash Festival so far directly affects the development of the music and cultural independent scene, ensuring permanent information of both the general public and some clearly defined target groups, about events on the domestic and foreign independent cultural, club and music scene.

During the four days of the festival, the festival offers visitors at the festival location free camping, recreational and educational programs and in the evening musical cultural content.

The festival program strongly promotes the values of the independent cultural scene, especially contemporary independent music and audio-visual production and artists dealing with it.

The festival will be held from 18 to 21 July 2024 in Martinska, and its program will consist of: musical and stage performances of domestic and foreign musicians and artists; visual (VJ, video mapping) segment of the festival program; art segment ArtSplash; different workshops for visitors: DJ workshop, Graffiti workshop, Dub Yoga, video production and recording workshop, dance workshop, acrobatics workshop. The festival will form eight music zones in the open space of Martinska where it will present 8 collectives that build their own soundsystems on the DIY principle, while on the other hand, the festival will offer live concerts of numerous domestic and foreign music groups within which visitors will be able to experience top quality live sound production.
