This festival was originated in the 1980's to use the cloister of the historic building of the University as a framework to provide Valencian audience with a summer music festival. It has become an excellent platform for the promotion of Valencian musical groups. Serenates Festival has been a resounding success since its first edition three decades ago, filling all available seats year after year. The Serenates festival is especially dedicated to music composed and performed primarily by Valencian musicians.
In 2018 edition the festival we celebrated its 31st edition and we have showed 14 concerts played by took more than 250 artists, considering that the 80% of them where youngs under 26 years old.
