Settimana della Cultura del Mare

La Settimana della Cultura del Mare (The week of the culture of the sea) is an important event for its city and the whole Region as its aim, purpose and essence is to raise awareness about a conscientious use (and not abuse) of the sea. The sea is very important for us: for fishing activities, food farm, tourism and we want to value it through arts and traditions. We achieve to sensitize to a conscientious use of the sea to the responsible exploitation of its riches and anthropological harmonization. Since 2012, The week of the culture of the sea has involved a lot of professional subjects in its 7 days, and it has been a mix of entertainment, education activities, movie show, art exhibition, educational workshop, folk music fests, professional refresher course for journalists, conferences, poetry dates, city tour, show cooking and tasting of the products of the sea, in a sustainable way. Our event aims to strengthen the attractiveness of the territory in the off season, winking at sustainability, social sharing and responsibility of tourists and citizens, encouraging flows and economy in low season, even from abroad.
