Continuously since 2005, the Festival has focused on presenting Polish music from the Middle Ages to the present day, placing it in a broader international context. The mission of the event, organised in July in Krakow, is to recall the best Polish composers and their works, to discover forgotten music, and to break the stereotypes that have grown up around this art. The FMP recalls and introduces to concert life forgotten Polish operas, religious and symphonic works, song cycles and top-notch chamber music.
