The annual Percy French Festival celebrates the life and times of multi-talented songwriter, artist, engineer, humourist, editor, poet, sketchwriter, concert promoter, banjo player and stage entertainer William Percy French (1854–1920).Through an exciting, diverse programme of lectures, concerts, poetry readings and exhibitions, the festival aims to create greater awareness of Percy French’s legacy. It is held annually in July in the wonderful georgian building Castlecoote House in Co. Roscommon
