Todo Mundo 12th edition

Belgrade is a meeting place of different cultures and traditions. In modern times, you can hear different world music in Belgrade, which has had more and more fans for more than two decades. Therefore, in 2012, the World Music Festival “Todo Mundo” was founded and is organised to this day, on the initiative of the Association “Ring Ring”.

Festival have always been a place where local and international artists are meeting, creating options for collaboration, exchanging ideas.

This year as part of the festival we will have 4 evenings with 8 concerts and an international music conference. The focus will be on music and culture or Roma people, but there will be also few concerts of the other world music actors. Artists from Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Italy and Serbia will be performing. Groups are Tcha Limberger trio, Julia Kozakova "Manucha", Terne Čave, Romano Drom, Kal, Hiram Salsano, Lelo Nika, Frame Orchestra.

The concert venue will be the Jewish Culture Centre.

Some of the musicians will also be doing workshops with local young artists. All the artists will have a chance to talk to international conference delagates (festival organisers, journalists, label directors). Slovakian singer Julia Kozakova will have a lecture for the professors and students of Ethnomusicology of Belgrade Music University. This collaboration with Belgrade Music Academy is the part of the festival we are doing already for a few years. She will be also having a meeting with local festival directors, promoters as well as with Roma musicians and activists.

Radio Belgrade 3 will be recording all the concerts of the festival (as they have done it before) and then broadcast it, but also offer the recording to European Broadcasting Union (EBU) exchange, giving the opportunity for much wider audience to hear the musicians. They will also record and broadcast the music conference.
