Undercloud - International Festival of Independent Theatre

Undercloud is Romania’s first independent theatre festival, established in 2008. Soon after its debut, it was recognized as the most influential competition for independent theatre companies all over Romania, and productions awarded here became box office successes on the independent stage. In 2014 it became international and a theatre market. For 11 days, in mid-August, when state theatres are closed, it brings together the best independent actors, directors, artists from Romania and abroad.
