Vila do Conde Clown Festival
The challenge is simple: to create a space where the clown can show himself and his work free of clichés and without strings attached to the childhood universe, outside the circus tent, the shopping centre or the birthday party.
The red nose is not enough… the clown can be a political voice, a warrior, a speaker but above all, is an artist.
The purpose of this FESTIVAL is to show the New Clown, to give him a stage and a public, and where new languages can be tasted, and see author work and productions beyond the simple and the commercial.
