The West Cork Literary Festival runs from 10 – 17 July and welcomes a star-studded cast of writers to Bantry, Co Cork. Amongst the writers at the 2020 Festival are Jung Chang, Paul Muldoon, Hannah Sullivan, Eimear McBride, Leslie Jamison, Cynan Jones, Sara Baume, Christine Dwyer Hickey, Frank Ormsby and Jane Casey. The full line-up will be announced in Spring 2020.

5 day workshops are at the heart of the festival and the full workshop programme will be announced in early 2020.

The West Cork Literary Festival showcases the Wild Atlantic Way through a series of events including a Festival Walk in the stunning landscape of the Bantry area, a morning swim in Bantry Bay and a travel writing workshop and reading on Whiddy Island.

Aspiring writers can avail of daily Editor-in-Residence sessions and industry events. There are a number of free readings in Bantry Library and Bantry Bookshop.
