XVIII TALLINN CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL
Tallinn Chamber Music Festival has become a tradition and is part of the top events of Estonian classical music.
The festival takes place within a short period of time and gives the audience an opportunity to enjoy many performances by Estonian as well as foreign musicians, thus making Tallinn and the whole Estonian cultural image more beautiful and profuse. The concerts of the festival take place in the While Hall of the House of the Blackheads, Hopner House, St. John’s Church and the Swedish St. Michael’s Church.
Listeners of all ages are welcome to the festival, you just need to have an open mind and be prepared for musical journeys with fascinating artists, who touch the limits of human capabilities. Chamber music has a great advantage in comparison with large-scale concerts – good listeners sense that the delicate musical fabric reveals itself in front of them, touching the versatile palette of the senses.
The Tallinn Chamber Music Festival has a beautiful tradition. Each year Mari-Ann and Tunne Kelam present the “Marje and Kuldar Sink Young Musician’s Award” to support young talents in their further development.
