XXVII Pažaislis Music Festival
Pažaislis Music Festival is the largest classical music festival in Lithuania. Since 1996, it has been held in the striking Baroque-style ensemble of the Pažaislis Monastery, in various venues in Kaunas and in other cities and towns of the country.
The festival organises around 40 concerts throughout the summer and attracts thousands of visitors.
Over its long years of existence, the festival has become a springboard for the careers of the country's young music professionals, giving them the opportunity to perform on stage with masters of the genre - the country's and abroad's most renowned soloists and ensembles; and inviting the audience to explore the beauty and diversity of classical music, rejecting the stereotypes of the genre and rediscovering it. The concerts feature chamber or symphonic music, experimental or electronic music.
With its openness, variety of genres and choice of unconventional venues, the Pažaislis Music Festival offers listeners a unique and unforgettable experience every year.
