We are pleased to inform you that, this year, the 11th International Dance and Performing Arts Festival, Akropoditi DanceFest, will take place in Syros on 11 – 21 July, 2024. Counting 10 years from the establishment of our festival and its anniversary edition which took place in July 2023, we are now standing at the threshold of our second decade. Eager to breathe new life into our projects we are launching a series of thematic suggestions with the aim of enriching the festival’s identity.This year's festival goes under the title “E x p a n d i n g identities”.Visit the Festival website (akropoditi.com/dancefest) to see the new workshops schedule, this year's teachers, as well as the events included in the program of the 11thInternational Dance and Performing Arts Festival, 11th Akropoditi DanceFest 2024.We're looking forward to welcoming you in Syros and share with you yet another festival, one that will launch a new era!

OPEN CALL for performances for the 11th Akropoditi DanceFest 2024

The invitation addresses all artists who live and work elsewhere rather than their place of origin, but combine in their work origin elements, such as tradition, history, culture, etc, with any other kind of influence coming from the place they currently live in as well as the wider, international and contemporary artistic reality.

Application period starts on 5th November 2023 until 5th December 2023 and all entries should be submitted to the Festival’s official site: akropoditi.com/dancefest

Submission dates: Sunday 5th November 2023 – Tuesday 5th December 2023
