18th annual Blues Heaven Festival

08 Nov 2024 - 10 Nov 2024
Frederikshavn, Denmark

The 18th edition of Denmark's most prominent blues and soul festival, Blues Heaven, invites you inside Arena Nord in Frederikshavn for 14 concerts and a fantastic atmosphere, where the audience and top international musicians meet. In 2023, the festival attracted audiences from 17 countries. This year, the festival presents 50 musicians from 9 countries, many of whom are winners of the American Grammy® and (BMA) Blues Music Awards. The lineup is fully booked, and the star-studded lineup will make every blues and soul lover swing their hips and stomp the beat. The audience can look forward to a terrific weekend full of raw energy, emotional music, and true blues spirit. This year's undisputed headliner is Chicago's pride, Ronnie Baker Brooks. Known as the "Crown Prince of The Blues,” Baker Brooks is the rightful heir to the blues throne after Buddy Guy, the 87-year-old legend, who this year is on his farewell tour, "Damn Right Farewell Tour.” Ronnie Baker Brooks is a dazzling guitarist, an innovative, boundary-pushing songwriter, and an intensely soulful vocalist. He is the artist that most audiences have asked to return to Blues Heaven, which means that throughout the festival's 18-year history, he is the only artist who will have visited the festival a total of (4) four times!

These names have already been published: Mr. Sipp (US), The Nick Moss Band (US), The Cash Box Kings (US), Mark Hummel with Anson Funderburgh (US), Nora Jean Wallace (US), Blues Beatles (BRA), Robert Jon & The Wreck ( US), Dawn Tyler Watson (CAN), Big Daddy Wilson (US), JW-Jones (CAN), Nathan James (US), Harrell "Young Rell" Davenport (US), Big Creek Slim (DK), Kent Erik Thorvaldsen (NOR)

Again this year, there will be carefully selected artists who match previous memorable concert experiences, e.g., Buddy Guy, Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac), Johnny Winter, Gary Moore, Dr. John, and Robert Cray, plus the other 100s of bands that have previously visited the festival in Frederikshavn.Blues Heaven is an internationally recognized festival. The multi-award-winning festival has become a "go-to" European blues and soul festival. Experience the magic of music live when Arena Nord is transformed into a true blues paradise.
