Ruse Summer Fest 2023

There are two main reasons why the Ruse Summer Fest exists.

1. Ruse and the people of Ruse deserve it. They deserve the opportunity to be proud of a growing and great event that brings glory to the city.

2. Every Ruse band or performer should have the opportunity to take the big stage. Ruse Summer Fest is for all performers.

The first edition of Ruse Summer Festival took place in 2016. The event was held at Canetti House over two days. The main movers and shakers were the musicians from the Ruse band Claymore.

In 2017 the composition of the organizing team was slightly expanded. Then we also created the website of the fest. The venue and format remained unchanged.

In 2018, the festival was not held by the decision of the organizers. Plans began that year to relaunch Ruse Summer Fest again in 2019. Sometime after that Vladislav Marinov from the Ruse band "Favorite" shared on the web his idea for a concert of the old, now defunct and scattered around the world Ruse bands, as well as the current ones. Emo from Claymore and Vlado decided to join forces for the sake of a bigger and better festival. And in order to make it even better they make a proposal to the organizers of Green Rock Fest to unite. So three parties and three ideas come together and organize Green Rock Fest 2019.

When the idea was born to have a similar festival in 2020 as well, no one imagined that Covid-19 would change the world so much. All festivals and events were cancelled or postponed until 2021. Few events are being planned and held. With the state of emergency lifted, organisers are starting to think about the 2020 edition of Ruse Summer Fest again. Everyone thinks we're crazy for getting caught doing a festival in this troubled time.
