Expofacic is an event that takes place between July and August, with a duration that can vary between 10 and 12 days. Its first edition took place in September 1991 and has evolved through 31 editions. The venue where it takes place is a large open space, with around 10 hectares, 120,000 m2 of parking and 600 spaces, 500 of which are reserved for exhibitors. It is organised into different areas, including automobiles, exhibitors, agriculture, popular fairs, cultural exhibitions, large shows and taverns. Distributed throughout the venue, there are 8 stages, highlighting stage 1, the main one, where you can watch musical concerts by the best national and international artists and stand up comedy and stage 4, dedicated to electronic music. In the rest, there is a programme full of music, dance and performing arts. The event venue is properly fenced. There are five possible, properly controlled entrances to the event venue. In the enclosure there are several areas duly signposted, as mentioned in figure 1, with defined routes, and there are also all types of public support equipment available to visitors: It is, therefore, an event that combines music, gastronomy, exhibitions and business, in which the price of tickets is very affordable, being aimed at multiple audiences, with emphasis on younger audiences and families, and being visited annually by more than 400,000 visitors.
As support services and infrastructures, the following aspects stand out:
- Occasional Camping;
- Inflatables, traditional games, painting studios and entertainment;
- Internal circuit television (Expofacic TV) and sound system;
- First aid stations and field hospital;
- Support baby changing tables;
- ATMs;
- Permanent secretariat throughout the event.
