50th Festival della Valle d'Itria

This year we celebrate the 50th edition of the Festival della Valle d’Itria, as usual held in Martina Franca in the summer period. The 2024 edition, signed by artistic director Sebastian F. Schwarz and organised by the Paolo Grassi Foundation, features a packed schedule of 21 days, from July 17th to August 6th. Three opera titles, three different musical styles, from bel canto to baroque to the 20th century, spanning over two centuries: Norma by Vincenzo Bellini, Aladdin and the Magic Lamp by Nino Rota, Ariodante by Georg Friedrich Handel. As usual, the Festival also includes a large number of chamber music and lied concerts, sacred music, baroque, symphonic (with the performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony on its 200th anniversary), jazz, meetings with artists, and prose performances.
