Art&Travel International Film Festival

ART&TRAVEL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is represented by Irina Khangoshvili (Georgia) and Anna Kurinnaya (Ukraine). The mission of the project is to make popular professional video content and photo art by promoting topic of travel around the world. The project activities are:

• search for professional masters from all over the world, their films ,videos and photos with main topic of travel around the world, for further presentation to viewers (film screenings, photo exhibitions) within the territory of the state and abroad;

• holding a competition, which, according to participation in it and the evaluation of professional jury members, allows us to identify highly professional works, and, therefore, to trace current trends in the development of modern screen and photo art with main topic of travel around the world;

• creation of an entire environment (actions and cultural events - concerts, shows, excursions, etc.) within the framework of the project, where experts in the field of travel can communicate with each other and share experience;

• conducting educational masterclasses and trainings (ART TRAVEL WORKSHOPS) together with professionals in the field of travel-video and photography, the purpose of which is to popularise travel as topic among filmmakers and photographers, as well as to popularise a professional approach to such filming.

The slogan of the project is ART AS TRAVEL. TRAVEL AS ART.

• Conducting a competition or a festival.Is possible in any format. (Online or offline). Possible nominations are: travel photo, drone video, travel documentary, travel movie (films shot while travelling), etc.

• Cultural events within the framework of the project (concerts, shows, excursions, etc.) The scenario may be diverse, but travel as main theme is compulsory.

The history of the festival: International ART&TRAVEL festival was based on Kharkiv International festival of Art&Travel, which was founded in 2018 and was first implemented live in Kharkiv (Ukraine) on 25-26 May, 2019. 1276 works from 102 countries of the world were accepted to participate in the first festival. In 2023, the festival joined the countries participants as Poland and Georgia and became the International ART&TRAVEL Festival.

The main purpose of ART&TRAVEL INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL is to reward films and audiovisual productions that promote tourism in the following aspects: tourist destination (city, region, orcountry); adventure tourism; extreme sports; sports tourism (skiing,hiking, biking) nautical tourism; hotels and resorts; people, culture and tradition; religious tourism; rural tourism; fashion tourism; events. Our wish is also to educate and motivate the employees of the tourist industry in promoting particular destinations the right way and in focusing on target groups as well as to inspire all interested parties to search for the latest trends. The Festival’s aim is also to induce young people to enter the world of tourism – as its promoters or just as tourist professionals.

To sum up ART&TRAVEL FILM FESTIVAL is:

- a festival

- a competition of artists whose works are related to the theme of travel

-competent assessment of competitive works by members of the international jury

- a place for friendly communication and exchange of experiences of filmmakers and photo artists from all over the world through holding masterclasses and meetings of professionals in the field of screen arts, photo arts and tourism.

This year the festival is planned to be organised in Georgia, Tbilisi, the attractive destination of tourists from all over the world.
