Arts and Human Rights Festival

10 Jun 2025 - 14 Jun 2025
Beograd, Serbia

The Festival is a platform for generating and presenting ideas that push to the forefront and put in a meaningful relationship between arts and human rights. The focus is on the concepts and activities
that promote equality and peace-building in the region, as well as the general advancement of human
rights. The program consists of performances, theatre productions, films, installations, workshops, artists, activists, and audience debates and meetings. The goal of the Festival is to inspire and empower citizens to take an active role in the change of their own communities and to make human rights no longer understood as something imposed from the outside, but to promote an understanding that it is the responsibility of each individual to engage in the process of their creation and implementation.
The topic of the 3rd edition (2023) was Standing up for another is a fight for ourselves, emphasizing empathy and compassion, bringing humanity back to the forefront before personal (selfish) needs, glorified in our times of radical individuality.
