Bansko Jazz Festival 2024

Bansko Jazz Festival is an open air event that takes place every summer at the central square of Bansko, Bulgaria. For the 27th consecutive year, Bansko will be immersed in jazz music from 3-10 August, 2024. Bansko Jazz Festival 2024 presents a rich musical programme with impressive performances on the main stage starting from 8:00 PM. It also includes diverse daytime events that will satisfy the tastes of all jazz enthusiasts. The “Young Talents” stage in the park provides a platform for new and promising musicians to showcase their talents every day at 11:00 AM. From 1:00 PM, there is entertainment in the park, featuring various musical performances and fun activities for the whole family. Jazz Points throughout the city offer an exciting jazz music experience as diverse artists perform on open-air stages in different parts of Bansko. From classic to contemporary jazz performances, these points gather genre lovers and provide unforgettable musical moments. The Jazz Academy with masterclasses and workshops with world-class musicians is an opportunity for young and ambitious talents to learn from the best in the industry and develop their skills and knowledge. Before the main stage concerts, we are pleased to present the “Jazz Meetings, a Glass of Wine with…” series at the Bansko Chitalishte (Community Center), where the audience can meet jazz legends. This is a unique moment where we can enjoy conversations and stories from the world of jazz before diving into the musical performances on the main stage. To conclude each evening with a unique and immersive jazz experience, the festival present Midnight – Jam Sessions at Ginger Bar & Dinner every night after the main stage concerts. The first permanent exhibition in Bulgaria at the Bansko Chitalishte – “Jazz in Bulgaria” curated with donations from Bulgarian and international jazz performers and enthusiasts, showcases the richness and history of jazz in our country is the perfect place to acquaint yourself with the heart and soul of Bulgarian jazz and be inspired by its evolution and influence.
