Barrobjectif photojournalism festival
The small Charente village of Barro is home to one of France's leading festivals of photojournalism. BarrObjectif was created by a small group of photo enthusiasts who wanted to offer a cultural event in a rural setting. The event features twenty-eight open-air photo exhibitions: in the streets, on the walls of houses, in trees and gardens, in the square, and even in the water of the river Charente.
More than 600 photos to discover, talks, debates, relaxation areas in a green environment will be offered to festival-goers for nine days in the heart of the village of Barro.
Alain Keler of the MYOP agency, guest of honour at this 22nd edition, has won international recognition and numerous awards. He will be present at the exhibition opening on Sunday 17 September at 11a.m. His Motel Paradiso exhibition, on display in the meadow for the 9 days of the festival, will be complemented by a lecture on Saturday 16 September at 8.30 p.m. in Barro village hall.
We invite the public to immerse themselves in the varied themes — social, environmental, wildlife, architectural, and sporting — explored by the 20 photographers selected by a jury of professionals from the world of photography.
