DESFOGA
DESFOGA is an international performing arts festival organized by a non-profit cultural association with a 30-year trajectory, in collaboration with the Cambados City Council, Galician Cultural Agency, educational centers, LGBTQ+ associations, and international institutions.
DESFOGA curates live art projects linked to both rural and urban citizenship and is developed in collaboration with them. The festival has a year long residency program that adds depth and ground to all the activities.
The festival aims to bring interest in contemporary performing arts closer to new audiences.
The festival is adamant about giving visibility to only artists belonging to the LGTBIQ+ community in response to the lack of queer representation in institutional programming.
