Festival Lent is a festival pleasuring life!

The story of Festival Lent is a story of evenings filled with the scent of summer, inviting us to meet and gather, outside, under the starry sky, among colourful lights, sounds, rhythms. To the banks of the Drava river that reflects dreamlike shapes straight out of fantasy, onto squares where one can meet friends, onto streets carrying a colourful river of visitors from all over the world. Into a city that breathes, pulses, lives!

From the 23rd of June to 1st of July 2023 at over 20 locations across Maribor.

Festival Lent is a huge, vibrant, cross-cultural and multi-genre event where everyone can easily find something for themselves. Choose between pop, rock, jazz, classical and world music concerts, open air ballet and opera performances, musicals, folklore, contemporary dance, street theatre, stand-up comedy, circus, cabaret, children’s shows, exhibitions, arts & crafts workshops, open-air meditation and yoga classes,or just stroll along the picturesque river banks and enjoy an al’ fresco dinner at one of the numerous festival’s pop-up restaurants.

Festival Lent is much more than just a set of events offered in the beginning of summer. It brings together 4 concurrent festivals, each giving its visitors unique and unforgettable experiences. It is no real wonder that Festival Lent is the county's largest festival! Everything from folk art to jazz music, street theatre to creativity, and so much more, is combined within this festival of festivals.

• JAZZLENT AND JAZZ PODIUM, priding with popular foreign and Slovenian jazz and jazz-related style musicians;
• STREET THEATRE ANA DESETNICA, a playful street theatre festival, reviving the city streets and squares;
• ART CAMP, providingthe most popular daily events of the festival for younger generations and families in the city park, boosting with creativity, culture, recreation, mingling and simply feeling “yay-okay”!
