Every year in the last weekend of August, Spoffin, the international festival for professional outdoor theatre, transforms squares, streets and unexpected places in the old city centre of Amersfoort into one large stage. Theatre groups and artists from all over Europe take over the city with the latest street theatre, intimate dance, daring circus theatre and other wonderful arts on the streets. The festival consists of an official IN programme, an OFF programme for new talent, a professionals programme and a residency programme for the creation of new work. Every year there is a focus programme for a specific country or region. In 2025 it will be the Balkan+.
