FIADA is back to Covilhã in 2023!

After a highly successful 1^st edition and thousands of visitors, this highly anticipated Arts, Crafts and Design Fair will take place in Jardim das Artes (Covilhã, Portugal), between 31 August and 3 September.

Held within the scope of Covilhã as a UNESCO Creative City of Design, FIADA promotes and supports national and international Arts & Crafts, while highlighting the potential of Design and Creativity in craftsmanship. This four-day event also puts artisans, makers, and designers in dialogue, reinforcing the value of traditional craft skills as a reflection of cultural legacy and identity, as well as a source of innovation, diversity, social inclusion, and territorial resilience.

Due to Covilhã's wool industry's historical significance, textile craftsmanship takes centre stage in this event, while visitors can also find dozens of the top Portuguese craftsmen and production units, working in a variety of craft-related fields.

In addition to the exhibition and commercialisation of handicraft products, the 2023 edition will count on the participation of guest artists and UNESCO Clubs, as well as delegations from national and international UNESCO Creative Cities. The official programme will include art installations, workshops, talks, cultural entertainment, street food, and concerts.
