FIC Festival - Focolaio d'Infezione Creativa

The Festival, which enlives the city of Catania every year in the month of May, was conceived for the creativity of young contemporary dance production and the new trends in body languages, mainly targeting a young audience.

A new path begun this year, moving towards an expansion of the entire project also in the name of music, theatre, cinema, visual arts. The acronym of FIC stands for Focolaio d’Infezione Creativa (Cluster of Creative Infection): the mission of Scenario Pubblico is to infect the territory as much as possible with creativity. The protagonist is the young dance which will be joined by the more mature one, so that choreographers of different generations and with different experiences can inhabit the same places at the same time, and thus experience opportunities for exchange and sharing, for a festival that presents different forms of creativity to the public of the body.

The next and 5th edition will take place from 3 to 12 May 2024.
