Film festival Kino maale

Kino maale (Film Festival in the Countryside) is a film festival that includes diverse programs of world-class animations, short films and documentaries, thrilling and innovative screening venues all over Estonia, as well as work-shops and contests for the youth.

The main goal of Kino maale is to bring film, especially animation closer to the viewers and educate the new generation of Estonian filmmakers. The first Kino maale was held in 2017 in Tapa. In 2017 and in 2018 we had almost 100 film screening places around Estonia, basically 90% of them only in the countryside. The festival also brings its programs to buses, trains, military bases etc.
