Since it was founded two years ago, the Kiel Frequenz_ Festival has established itself as a cultural ambassador for the state of Schleswig-Holstein in the field of sound and audiovisual art. In addition to renowned ensembles and artists from the European scene, the festival is constantly looking for new formats of art education, which can be seen both in the field of creative education projects and in urban productions in public space, young musicians from the free art scene Schleswig- Holstein offer a platform as well as be designed in close contact with universities. In addition, cooperations with the Nordic countries as well as the partner cities of Kiel and neighbouring federal states have been formed, which enrich the program. The upcoming Frequenz_ Festival will take place between May 5th and 13th, 2023 at seven locations in Kiel and in cooperation with five European festivals, including SPOR in Aarhus and Heroines of Sound Berlin.
