GUITAR FEST ZAJECAR

Gitarijada (Serbian Cyrillic: Гитаријада, trans. Guitar Fest) is a musical festival held in Zaječar, Serbia. Held since 1966,Guitar Fest represents the oldest festival of unknown bands in Southeastern Europe. The festival gathers tens of thousands of visitors each year and is one of the most significant musical events in the region. The goal of the Guitar Fest is the encouragement and recognition of the musical creativity of the young who are inclined towards rock music. Along with the young unknown bands from the region of former Yugoslavia, the festival program includes performances by famous domestic and world known musicians. The festival lineup included headliners such as BILLY IDOL, THE CULT, SAXON, NAZARETH, URIAH HEEP, WISBONE ASH, STEVE LUCATHER, THERAPY, GUANO APES, LAIBACH, KEN HENSLEY & LIVE FIRE, STAN WEB’S & CHICKEN SNAKE, NIGHTWING, JIMMY ROGERS and many more.
