Herning Opera Festival
Herning Opera Festival 2024 wish to be a platform and a meeting place for young talented singers in the North. The programme will present both upcoming singers and established artists side by side, with a focus on facilitating new meetings between artists and between the artists and the audience. The festival will present new formats for how the audience can meet and interact with opera as a genre, with a high priority of developing productions and events directed at children and young adults. In 2024 we focus on Nordic collaborations – both with Nordic singers and other Nordic Festivals. We present many young Nordic singers as part of the festival programme and seek to co-produce with other Nordic partners, to give the formats and productions that we create a longer life, a broader audience and to give the young artists an opportunity to be exposed on a larger international platform.
